Undoubtedly everyone who lands in Frankfurt knows to try the famous Hessian grüne soße dish. But how many know to try it as a drink! Sure, it may seem highly unusual, and you may question whether it works, but let us assure you the Frankfurt Spritz at Zwischenraum Aperitivo Bar is definitely worth wetting your taste buds.
The Vibe at Zwischenraum Aperitivo Bar
Laid back and welcoming! And once you meet the owners, you absolutely know why! The bar, whose name translates to “in-between space,” truly lives up to its name by offering an escape squeezed between the hustle and the bustle of life.
During the summer months, the Aperitivo Bar extends out onto the Nordend Pavements, and during the winter months, everything gets a little cosy inside!
The Menu
So, whilst we opened with a mention of the Frankfurter Spritz if you are more “Classic” and less “Adventure,” there is plenty to tantalise your taste buds! Namely, the ever-popular Aperol Spritz, Negroni, and Campari Spritz.
Admittedly, the food menu is small, with an emphasis on light bites and sharing plates, but it is perfect for the aperitivo experience.
Good to know:
- In case you were wondering, the Frankfurt Spritz is made with a herb-infused syrup, not a glass of green sauce. And in our opinion it was absolutely delicious!!
