Innenstadt is the central district of Frankfurt, and its the financial heartbeat of the city. The towering buildings in this part of the city have created the iconic skyline which has earned it the nickname 'Mainhattan'.

Home to some of Germany’s most exclusive shopping and real estate, be prepared to either have your wallet at the ready or push it as deep down inside your pocket as humanly possible (and hope that your partner and children don’t find it).

Innenstadt is home to cultural landmarks such as the historic Alte Oper and modern-day skyscrapers like the Main Tower and the Deutsche Bank Towers.  Furthermore, museums, galleries, and theatres add to the district’s cultural richness.

Good to know:
  • Goethestraße for all luxury brands & shopping (Prada, Cartier, Gucci etc)
  • Zeil for all high-street shopping
