Nestled within the stylish confines of Roomers Hotel Frankfurt, Burbank Restaurant combines modern elegance and relaxed sophistication.  At its helm sits The Duc Ngo, who is no stranger to creating iconic culinary experiences, Moriki being another feather in his very wide-brimmed hat!

The Story Behind Burbank Restaurant

Helmed by the renowned chef Duc Ngo, who was born in Hanoi to a Vietnamese mother and a Chinese father but came to Germany at the age of 6.  The Duc Ngo’s zodiac sign inspires the Burbank Restaurant symbol, the tiger.  Moreover, the tiger is distinctly characterised to have a deep sensitivity and connection to its surroundings and heritage.  Following on, the cuisine embraces strong Asian influences while capturing the essence of lightness, modernity, and multicultural charm of the Californian West Coast.

The Vibe

Walking in, one cannot help but let one’s eyes be hijacked to run the length of the imposing and very impressive granite counter table running the length of the restaurant.  Elsewhere in the restaurant, light wood tables, cosy velvet seating, lush green granite surfaces, and a mix of sky blue and desert orange colour schemes fill the space.  Furthermore, the restaurant extends to an outdoor patio dining area, nestled within the courtyard of the Roomers Hotel, offering a hidden oasis for diners to enjoy.  Interiors are thanks to Hyunjung Kim, a close friend of Chef The Duc Ngo, who also took inspiration from West Coast musing.

The Menu

In essence, Burbank Restaurant seeks to combine the simplicity, lightness, and elegance of Californian Cuisine with various Pan-Asian-inspired dishes to create an innovative menu filled with fresh ingredients and a fusion of flavours.

We need only mention a few dishes on the menu to get your taste buds watering: crispy Thai Duck, filet Mignon Yucatán, Korean Fried Chicken and a perfectly dressed Caesar salad to name but a few.

Notably too, is the Burbank Seafood Bar.  Here, you can have ceviche, sake, or sashimi prepared right before your very eyes.  And if this is not enough to satiate your seafood cravings, indulge in lobster and king prawns.  Undeniably delicious!!
