It might be easy to dismiss Cafe Maingold as it sits right at the beginning of Zeil, however, it’s right next to the park and has a lovely area for outside seating when the weather is right, it’s definitely a place to hit up. Walk inside and you’re time warped back to the 1940’s with vintage wallpaper, mixed matched vintage tables and gold framed doors. I would definitely give this place a go when the sun is shining and the weather is warm.

Good to know:

  • They do not have English menus
  • They do not accept foreign credit cards, so make sure and bring some cash if you’re from out of town.
  • Outside and indoor seating
