A little piece of France in the heart of Europaviertel.

It’s sometimes easy to be distracted by all the building works going on along Europa Allee that you may be forgiven for completely missing this gem of a cafe! Now that you know about it though….

Walking into Croquant it’s as if you’ve stumbled into a cafe you might expect to find in the French countryside! An enormous wooden table and stools commands the centre of the room, the black and white cubed floor provides an absolutely brilliant contrast and finally the ‘exposed’ walls and ‘worn’ ceiling complete the look!

Up at the counter, pastries and sweets absolutely delight the eye (at the expense of the waist) and the lady behind serving us was simply delightful (and patient as my two little ‘monsters’ took their time deciding on the most fitting snack for the moment)!

The breakfasts are simply decadent in every sense of the word!!! Think fresh fruit, avocado, smoked salmon, Parma ham, Camembert, goats cheese….platters that are so beautifully constructed that they literally leave you wondering whether you committing a sin by eating them!
