There are a few places in Frankfurt that are considered institutions, meaning, they have been around since the beginning of time. One of the first things people asked me when I moved to Frankfurt was “have you been to Cafe Kante yet?”  Let’s just say I got myself there as fast as I could. The fact that it’s around the corner from my house is not bad either. Located right near Merianplatz it’s definitely the locals hangout.

Walk inside and it’s like taking a walk back in time. If the walls could talk I’m sure they’d have stories to tell. I tend to head to Cafe Kante when it’s nice out so I can sit outside.

One thing you can always count on is good coffee, scrumptious kuchen and a very nice and friendly server.

Definitely hit up this legend of a place.
